Pine Lakes Guest Information

Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your tee time so you can experience “The Granddaddy’s” club house and the history of the club. Pine Lakes is the oldest golf course along the Grand Strand; having been built in 1927. We are the birthplace to ‘Sports Illustrated’ magazine and the home of the Myrtle Beach Golf Hall of Fame. Upon arrival the golf operations team will meet you in the bag drop area and direct you through the golf shop. The Professional staff will check you in and will direct you to the golf operations staff behind the club house.

Practice Facility

Pine Lakes does not have a driving range on property. Guests are welcome to hit balls at The Resort Club at Grande Dunes prior to their round. The Granddaddy has two practice greens for putting and chipping. One practice green is located next to #1 tee box and the other is located next to #10 tee box.

Rental Clubs

Rental clubs are available for you and your guests upon arrival. The Granddaddy offers top of the line Cobra rental sets for our guest. Each rental set comes with a ½ dozen Titleist golf balls. Please inform the professional staff 24-hours in advance to reserve your set of rental clubs. Upon request, please include whether you prefer right-handed or left-handed, and stiff or regular flex. Dress Attire

Appropriate attire is required and must be observed at all times. Denim, bathing attire, T-shirts, gym shorts, tank tops, tube tops, halter tops, mesh shirts, cut-off shorts, short shorts and other dress of a similar nature are not appropriate. Shorts may be worn; men must wear collared shirts. Mock turtle necks are acceptable. Women are allowed to wear collarless blouses.

Pace of Play

It is the responsibility of each player to maintain a reasonable pace throughout their round of golf to ensure that each and every golfer may enjoy their experience. Expected pace of play is 4 hours and 30 minutes.

Inclement Weather Conditions

At times we experience weather conditions that may delay play such as lightning or frost. During such periods starting times may be delayed to assess player safety and course conditions.

Winter Golf Conditions

During our winter season you may experience the following course conditions: dormant grass, slower then normal green speeds due to higher mowing heights and cart path only restrictions (where applicable).

Dining

The Granddaddy has a full dinning room that serves breakfast and lunch daily. Hours of operation are from 7am to 5pm. The Robert White Pub offers daily lunch specials Monday-Saturday and happy hour specials daily. Happy Hour is from 5-8pm (closing time is subject to number of guests at the facility). The Pub is open to the public and is a great place to watch your favorite sports team.

Personal coolers are not permitted. In accordance with South Carolina state law it is illegal to bring alcoholic beverages onto the premises.

Directions

Coming from the North:

• Take 17 Bypass going south
• Take the Robert Grissom Parkway Exit South/Downtown. This will be the second exit on your right hand side, just past the 62nd Ave. N Light
• Once you have taken the exit you will turn left onto Granddaddy Drive; which is approximately 1.0 mile from the exit ramp on your left hand side (there will be two brick walls with ‘Pine Lakes’ written in gold on them)
• Granddaddy Drive will lead you directly to the Clubhouse

Coming from the South:

• Take 17 Bypass going north
• Take a right onto 48th Ave. N
• Take a left onto Robert Grissom Parkway
• Turn right onto Granddaddy Drive; which is approximately 0.2 miles on your right hand side (there will be two brick walls with ‘Pine Lakes’ written in gold on them)
• Granddaddy Drive will lead you directly to the Clubhouse
